The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.
SASSA might be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it really is alarmed regarding the higher number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The assistance level created for intervention ordeals a substantial influx of probable beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who stop sassa by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to enable the servicing of all shoppers and boost usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
